Rue

Rue is the prima donna of the ballet academy in Kinkan town, meaning she is in the advanced class and the best dancer in the school.  The other advanced students don't matter; Rue is the one all the other students in the school look up to and try to emulate.  

She is also Mytho's girlfriend.  It is implied that Mytho and Rue's relationship has been established for some time and everyone agrees that the two of them look really good together.  

Rue's personality is that of a true princess.  Her life is one of privilege, commendation, and flattery.  Though not openly hostile, she remains ever aloof and expects others to treat her with a certain dignity and deference befitting her achievements.  For this reason Rue does not have any real friends, and though she doesn't seem bothered by the fact, she often seems withdrawn and lonely. 

Although usually introverted and quiet, Rue has a strong will that shows when anyone dares to threaten the balance of her perfect world.  As she is content with her life the way it is, and because much of her strength comes from the predictability of her situation, she is highly resistant to change and reacts to the criticism of others with either dismissal or anger.

As the story progresses, we have to wonder what will happen as the one thing Rue loves most, the person that gives her life meaning--Mytho--begins to change without her.  Will Rue have to learn to change too?
